Zhongbei Law Group's 2021 Annual Meeting: "New Starting Point, Creating the Future"
On January 24, 2022, Zhongbei Law Group held its 2021 annual work meeting in a "online + offline" cloud meeting format, themed "New Starting Point, Creating the Future." The meeting mainly summarized and reviewed the work of 2021 and planned and looked forward to the work of 2022. All headquarters employees of Beijing Zhongbei, Century Mingyang, and Beishang Law Firm participated in the meeting at the Xinshijie office building. More than 100 people, including heads and some staff from Zhongbei's various branches in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Wenzhou, Qingdao, Guangxi, and Dongying, attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Yuan Shihuan, the founder of Beijing Zhongbei. Director Yuan introduced the development history of Zhongbei over the past 30 years to both new and old Zhongbei members. He recounted the series of reforms implemented since Chairman Zhang Peng took office in 2019, including the integration of Century Mingyang, the establishment of Beishang Law Firm, and the organizational restructuring and exploration of new business models in 2021. Director Yuan believes that the changes in Zhongbei today are obvious and looks forward to the next ten and thirty years of Zhongbei.
Following the agenda, Chairman Zhang Peng of Zhongbei Law Group delivered the annual management report. Chairman Zhang's report used four "news" to accurately portray Zhongbei's 2021: Institutional integration, new and old combinations, internal and external mutual support, and a unified management mechanism to create a "new atmosphere" for the Zhongbei team; virtual mergers, mid-stage support, and cross-group participation to implement integrated management and build a "new model" of Zhongbei management; focusing on trademarks, strengthening patents, and increasing civil and commercial law to expand areas and improve quality, promoting "new expansion" of Zhongbei's business; 30 years of accumulation, collaboration between headquarters and branches, and customer first, continuously strengthening brand value, and creating a "new plan" for Zhongbei 2022. At the same time, Chairman Zhang also used meaningful poems to depict the new picture of Zhongbei's future: "Bamboo is dense but does not prevent the flow of water, mountains are high but do not obstruct the flight of white clouds," expressing Zhongbei's courage to face competition and forge ahead; "The bright moon of that year is still there, waiting for the colorful clouds to return," expressing the beautiful vision of inheriting the essence of Zhongbei and expecting the return of old and new friends.
Following the management report, Guo Jianying, general manager of Zhongbei, and Director Xi Yuxin summarized and reported on the overall business operations of Zhongbei Law Group and the Beijing headquarters. Despite the impact of the epidemic, good growth was still achieved: First, the basic businesses of trademarks and patents both increased significantly compared to the same period, with an increase in the total number of cases and revenue; second, the number of new clients in various business areas also increased to varying degrees, and client development maintained a positive trend; third, the business coordination and collaboration between Zhongbei Law Group headquarters and various branches were strengthened, especially in patent business; fourth, in 2021, Zhongbei headquarters also made significant improvements in website updates and internal training.
Afterwards, the heads of Zhongbei's seven branch offices reported on the work of each branch office in 2021 and their plans for 2022, and also expressed their expectations for the headquarters to provide professional support, business collaboration, and resource sharing. Among the branch offices, the basic business volume of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai all showed an upward trend compared to the same period. Although the basic business of Wuhan and Guangxi branches decreased, the number of confirmed cases showed an upward trend. In addition, the Guangzhou and Shanghai branches shared typical cases with good results, while the Shenzhen branch shared its beneficial exploration in market development and brand promotion.
Following the branch office reports, the heads of the headquarters' patent department and civil and commercial law department, based on the national intellectual property strategy and the market trend of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and focusing on the core capabilities and competitive strength of the Zhongbei team, respectively discussed how to expand high-end patent business, and how to better provide comprehensive legal services from the perspective of general legal counsel and civil and commercial dispute resolution while focusing on core intellectual property business, truly realizing Zhongbei's original intention of providing customers with better, more comprehensive, and more professional and efficient services. Afterwards, Zhongbei's online and offline personnel conducted sufficient communication and interaction based on the reports and speeches from various stages of the meeting. They not only conducted in-depth review and analysis of the problems existing in 2021, but also put forward good suggestions for the work in 2022 with frankness and openness. The collision of ideas and brainstorming at the meeting fully demonstrated the integrated energy of the Zhongbei team.
After a day-long meeting, Director Yuan finally summarized the meeting. Director Yuan fully affirmed the achievements of the meeting, which not only unified thinking and united people, but also allowed all Zhongbei members to see new business prospects and the hope of a second take-off with the new management team. At the same time, he pointed out the need to depict the beautiful vision in mind, and more importantly, to ensure the implementation of various tasks and promote task execution, with responsibility assigned to individuals and deadlines set. In 2022, we also need to seize the 30th anniversary of Zhongbei, tap into brand accumulation, and promote brand building to truly allow Zhongbei to set sail again.
After the meeting, Zhongbei's colleagues unanimously expressed that the annual meeting not only pointed out the direction for Zhongbei, but also provided a broader platform and support for each individual. On the 30th anniversary of Zhongbei, each Zhongbei member will use self-improvement as the foundation and team collaboration as the fundamental, to build the brand, expand the market, refine intellectual property professional services, and deepen the expansion of the civil and commercial field, always adhering to the principle of "service first, reputation paramount," satisfying Zhongbei customers with results and reassuring them with details.
